WINE NOTES
Red Portuguese table wines are known for the sum of their final blends being better than each part as a whole. In the Rio Real Reserva we have a 1 + 1 + 1 = 4 (Not three). One part mature vine Syrah is presented as the concentrated base of this wine to which we added both Tinta Roriz and Touriga Nacional to bring forth additional structure and complexity. The wine region of Lisboa, formerly known as Estremadura, is located mainly to the East and North of the grand city of Lisboa with a small section of the VR located just to the South of city. A region deeply rooted in history, this area straddles the Atlantic Ocean allowing cool ocean breezes to slowly ripen the rich, red fruit.
