Moving a layer deeper into the Marquee Australian wine lineup you find the Signature Series, a sophisitcated group of premium wines made unique by their regional and varietal characteristics. Choosing what we feel are the "Signature Grape or Grapes" for a particular region we bring you single vineyard offerings from such sites as the cool climate Yarra Valley or rich, luschious Shiraz from the McLaren Vale district of South Australia. Hand crafted in smaller lots, we have targeted unique areas continue to grow this branch of Marquee and are excited to Annouce the Fall Arrival of 100% Organic vineyards in South Australia!  Marquee is dedicated to quality wines and has gone to the most well known regions in Australia and sought out small partner vineyards to work with in each of these territories. When you are ready to move up from the Marquee Classic Series, the Marquee Premium Wines offer you a distinct, single-vineyard location in a small Australian region. The Yarra Valley, just north of Melbourne, Australia in Victoria has been well known for hundreds of years as a "cool climate" region that focuses on the great Burgundian varietals of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and making outstanding Sparkling wines. Marquee is proud to present what we feel grows best in this region, Chardonnay! The Yarra Valley is a rich region that Marquee Australian winemaker Keith Brien uses to impart a depth of character with minerality that is balanced with acids and a touch of lovely French oak. Just one example of the outstanding premium wines from Marquee in this series, please enjoy these outstanding wines that have showcase their home terrior. Take a tour across Australia in our premium series and you will find that you are one of only a small number of people that gets to taste these exclusive small batch wines (for the 2007 Marquee Signature McLaren Vale Shiraz we only made 5000 bottles). In addition to the unique wines, we felt that by showcasing a piece of art or history of the region visually on each of the Marquee labels our loyal followers would learn a bit more about our regions and winemakers. On the front of the McLaren Vale Shiraz, you will find the picture of an old bi-plane a true homage to our head winemaker, Keith Brien, a former pilot for over twenty-five years (that if you are nice might even let you know how many hours he has logged)?
